How to draw animal eyes
Hi Guys
This weeks tutorial is a follow-up to the Animal mouth tutorial.
Basically, the two main features of an animal that need to be checked closely are the mouth and the eyes.
The pic I’ve attached this week is some more random animals namely a snake, gofer, a cat, rabbits and wolves. Look carefully at the eyes and see what emotion you can tell each set is feeling. It sounds ridiculous, but the best way to figure out how to start drawing the emotion you want, try standing in front of a mirror and pulling the face yourself. I’ve done this to get a picture right. Don’t worry I’m sure no ones looking.
With animals, they don’t really have eyebrows to show emotion, but rather a lump of furry fat above their eyes that bends and shapes according to their emotions. The principal is the same though. Curving up or down is the difference between anger and sadness in the eyes. Or one raised and one static could be curiosity. Have a close look at what I’ve drawn this week and even the eyes from last week and let me know what you come up with!
